Teaching

Aalto University arranges a broad set of polymer technology courses both at bachelor´s and master´s level.

The polymer technology related courses at Aalto University are listed below. At master´s level courses are available at least in the following majors: Fiber and polymer engineering, Chemical engineering, Functional materials ja Biosystems and biomaterials engineering. At bachelor´s level courses are available at least in these majors: Materiaalitiede ja -teknikka and Bio- ja kemiantekniikka. The courses are of course open for all Aalto students regardless of the major. Several graduate students complete their master’s thesis yearly majoring in Polymer Technology and many of these theses are done in industry.

Writing your master´s thesis in polymer technology

If you want to complete you master´s thesis in the research group of polymer technology, you should contact Prof. Jukka Seppälä directly. Different opportunities regarding doing master´s thesis work in the industry are posted regularly in the news section on the front page of the research group. A list of some master´s thesis works done during the last few years can be found on the publications-page.

Nordic Master Programme in Polymer Technology

More info can be found here.

The joint Master's programme in Polymer Technology is a collaboration between the five leading technical universities in the Nordic countries (Nordic Five Tech). The programme gives you a unique opportunity to tailor your degree based on your academic interests.

You will get to study at two of the partner universities, spending one year at each. You graduate with a double master’s degree from the two universities. Nordic Five Tech is a strategic alliance consisting of:
